Language instruction for newcomers to Canada

Learn English. Start today!

Community Development Council Durham Language Assessment Centre, the DDSB, and DCDSB have been assessing, teaching and helping newcomers, Canadians, and visitors for over 18 years. We offer a number of programs that attend to a variety of language and training needs of new immigrants in the Durham Region. All of our schools offer English and computer skills training. Free childminding is available to LINC and ELT students during the school year, between September and June.

We encourage visits to our state of the art language training facilities to meet our certified instructors, dedicated staff and wonderful students. Please come over for a potluck lunch to try the most delicious ethnic foods, learn about new cultures and make new friends.
